On Sunday evening, Hyderabad experienced intense rainfall, leading to significant waterlogging on the streets and traffic disruptions across various locations. Authorities are concerned that at least two individuals may have been swept away in a drain.
According to police reports, the incident occurred around 8:30 PM due to rising water levels in Afzal Sagar caused by the heavy downpour. Assistant Police Commissioner B. Kishan Kumar informed a news outlet that two people were carried away by the drain, and a search operation has been initiated to locate them, but they have not yet been found.
