Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has once again won hearts with his warmth, this time while acknowledging the overwhelming response to his son Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, The Ba**ds of Bollywood.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the 59-year-old actor re-shared posts from fan clubs showing celebrations with posters of both father and son. With his trademark humour, Shah Rukh wrote, “Thank you team for the love and cheers. Hope you guys finished watching the show… at least a few times. Ha ha.”
At the series launch, Shah Rukh reflected on Aryan’s creative vision. “When Aryan told me he was going to make a show on Bollywood, raw, edgy, with a bit of madness, I thought, ‘Is he planning to upload Mannat’s CCTV footage on YouTube?’” he joked, adding that it took him some time to understand the show’s tone. “But once I did, I was completely drawn in. Honestly, I’m really, really happy about it.”
Released on September 18, the series has quickly become the talk of the town for its sharp writing, satirical take, and behind-the-scenes look at the Hindi film industry. By stripping away Bollywood’s glamorous surface, it dives into drama and satire with a bold, unfiltered approach.
Now streaming on Netflix, The Ba**ds of Bollywood marks Aryan Khan’s debut as a director, and early reactions suggest it is a strong and promising beginning.
