Navratri begins on Monday, September 22nd: The Rajasthan government has declared a holiday tomorrow on the occasion of Navratri Sthapana. All government offices, banks, schools, colleges, and government institutions will be closed on this day. On the first day of Navratri, the installation of Goddess Durga and the Kalash Puja are performed. Following the announcement of a bank holiday in Rajasthan, many are now asking whether Monday will also be a bank holiday in other Union Territories and states, including the national capital, Delhi.

Only in Rajasthan will banks be closed on Monday. In Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, and other states, banks will not be closed tomorrow and will operate as usual. Therefore, if you live in any state other than Rajasthan, you can visit a bank branch to complete any important work.

September 23 (Tuesday): Maharaja Hari Singh Ji's birthday – A holiday in Jammu and Srinagar.

September 28 (Sunday)
September 29 (Monday): Mahasaptami/Durga Puja – Banks will be closed in Agartala, Guwahati, and Kolkata.
September 30 (Tuesday): Maha Ashtami/Durga Ashtami/Durga Puja – Banks will be closed in Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Imphal, Jaipur, Kolkata, Patna, and Ranchi.

Online services will continue.
Although branches are closed on holidays, customers do not face much difficulty as most banking services are now available online. Even on holidays, services like internet banking, mobile banking, and UPI remain operational as usual, which means you can transfer money from your account, check your balance or do other digital transactions without any interruption.
