Actor Tom Holland was briefly hospitalized on Friday after suffering a concussion during filming for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. According to The Sun, the 29-year-old Spider-Man star was injured while performing a stunt at Leavesden Studios in Watford, prompting production to be halted.

As reported by the outlet, citing medical professionals, emergency services were called to the studio following the incident. “We were called at 10.30am on Friday to attend to a patient who had sustained an injury at Leavesden Studios in Watford… An ambulance was sent to the scene, and the patient was transported to hospital for further care,” the statement said. A woman, reportedly a stunt double involved in the same scene, was also carried off set in an ambulance after sustaining an injury, The Sun reported.

Hospitalization out of precaution

According to a Deadline source, Holland took a "precautionary" break and will return to the set in a few days. Before the incident, Holland had expressed enthusiasm about returning to practical filming environments. He noted that Spider-Man: No Way Home had been shot almost entirely on soundstages due to pandemic restrictions, and he was looking forward to shooting in real locations again.

Social media chatter

Following the accident, an X user shared an image online, claiming it showed Holland injured after the stunt.

However, it remains unclear whether the photo is authentic or linked to the incident.
