Indian wicketkeeper batter KL Rahul has decided to extend his periphery beyond cricket, as he has invested in a team in the Prime Volleyball League (PVL). The League will be seeing its fourth season, and KL has co-owned a franchise named the Goa Guardians.
The Prime Volleyball League will be commencing on October 2 and will continue till the 26th of the same month, with Hyderabad hosting it. Meanwhile, it's Goa's maiden season in the tournament. The principal owner of the team, Raju Chekuri, sounded pretty excited. with KL joining the team.
Chekuri welcomed KL arrival in the League and believed his involvement will boost fans' engagement. In a statement released, KL Rahul said,
“PVL is a turning point for volleyball in India, and its primary objective is to make the sport accessible to more people."
Started in 2022, it has 7 teams, which has now extended to 10 this year. PVL is basically a privately run indoor volleyball league in India, deprived of any direct link with the National Volleyball Federation.
The League earlier had teams like the Ahmedabad Defenders, Bengaluru Torpedoes, Calicut Heroes, Chennai Blitz, Hyderabad Black Hawks, Kochi Blue Spikers, and Kolkata Thunderbolts. Mumbai Meteors came in Season 2, with Delhi Toofans coming in the third.

However, the senior batter is in action from September 23, at the Ekana Stadium, Lucknow, as India A will be playing against Australia A in the second unofficial Test match.
Later, KL Rahul is expected to be a part of the senior team for India's upcoming international session, which will start with the West Indies Test series, comprising two matches.
