The mood of ‘fast food’ is changing in Navratri, this modern fusion dishes are becoming popular

Navratri Fusion Dishes: Today is the second day of Sharadiya Navratri which is dedicated to the worship of Goddess Brahmacharini. Here Navratri means worship -upbravation as well as a new confluence of taste and health. If fasting is important during Navratri, it also has rules. Earlier, while fasting food was limited to sago khichdi or potato vegetables, ‘Millennials’ and ‘Jane Ji’ are turning it into modern fusion dishes. People are asking for a modern prepared dishes from online food services.
According to India’s ‘Health and Nutrition Council’ report, if healthy and balanced diet is taken in fasting, the detoxification process in the body is faster by 25 per cent. Nowadays, many restaurants and cafe are also presenting a fast-friendly fusion menu, especially during Navratri. A 2023 Instagram Trend Analysis had the number of posts associated with the hashtag Navratri recipe and hashtag fast food, which has fusion and healthy dishes the most popular. The most demand is of sago, Makhana and Singhadade.
1 -Sabudana Pizza Bites – This special dish is being liked in the modern fusion fasting dishes. Its base is made up of potatoes and sago and it is topping above and vegetables. Air-fry makes 40 % oil or ghee less in it and this makes it healthy.
2-Cuttu flour can be a good option for Pancakes- Navratri fast. Kuttu flour is containing gluten-free and high-protein. 100 grams of kuttu flour contains about 13 grams of protein and 10 grams of fiber. This pancake is suited to both desert and breakfast with honey and fruits.
3 -Sympharada Flour Takos – On the occasion of Navratri fast, you can make Takos with water chestnut flour. The amount of potassium and calcium in water chestnut flour is fine. The taco shells made from it are full of energy with cheese and sweet potato filling.
4-‘Makhana Trail Mix: You can try this dish in fast. Here Makhane is called ‘Superfood’. 100 grams of makhana contains about 10 grams of protein and 77 grams of carbohydrates, which give prolonged energy during fasting.
5- Fruit Yogurt- During the fast it acts like a perfe desert. Eating curd during fast is beneficial for digestion. Yogurt contains probiotics that increase immunity, and when fruits and makhane are added to it, it becomes a modern desert. -According to IANS
