
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the Shaheed Samman ceremony held at Lansdowne, Pauri Garhwal on Sunday. The Chief Minister bowed to the immortal heroic stories of martyrs and their highest sacrifice from the holy land of Lansdowne.
CM Dhami honored the families and dependents of the martyrs by offering copperplate and organ. He inspected the army band and also wished the soldiers. The Chief Minister paid tributes to the immortal martyr Gabbar Singh Negi Memorial and paid tribute to his statue. He said that today the country is safe due to immortal sons like Veer Gabbar Singh Negi.
CM Dhami lit a lamp in front of the copper Kalas filled with the holy soil of the martyrs of various districts and laid a wreath in the memory of the brave martyrs. During this, everyone expressed gratitude to the martyrs by keeping silence. The holy soil of the courtyard of the martyrs collected in these copper kalas will be taken to the grand military dham being built in Dehradun.

The ‘Shaheed Samman Yatra’, which lasted from 25 September to 4 October, is honored by the tears of the families of the martyrs. This under -construction military dham will continue to inspire generations to patriotism. This is our tribute to those martyrs who made their current sacrifices for our future.
The Chief Minister said that almost every household member in Uttarakhand is associated with military background. The state government is continuously working for the welfare of soldiers and their families. The ex -gratia amount given to the families of the martyrs has been increased from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 1 crore. Assistance of 10 thousand is given for the funeral of the martyr.
Soldiers are being given a discount of up to 25 percent as stamp duty on land procurement. The families of the martyrs have been appointed to 28 families so far under a combination in government service and the process of 13 cases is moving. Earlier there was a time limit of two years for application, which has been increased to five years.
CM Dhami said that facilities like ‘One Rank One Pension’, modern equipment, jackets and shoes have been provided by the central government. India today has joined the leading countries in exports in the defense sector and the enemy is capable of giving a befitting reply to the country. He also urged the people of the state to plant ‘a tree martyrs’ like a ‘one tree mother’s name’ campaign.
Sainik Welfare Minister Ganesh Joshi said that the ‘Shaheed Samman Yatra 2.0’ has been successfully concluded in Lansdown. The second phase of the yatra started on 25 September from Dehradun. The holy soil of the courtyard of the remaining 71 martyrs has been brought, which will be established in the Amar Jawan Jyoti before the inauguration of the military dham. The Chief Minister is always sensitive to the honor and welfare of soldiers and brave women.
Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt said that Uttarakhand is Devbhoomi as well as Veerbhoomi. We consider the martyrs not dead, but Amar Veer. Today we are able to breathe in open air, so this is the result of indomitable courage and sacrifice of brave soldiers.
Honor and cooperation of soldiers and their families is the top priority of the Central and State Government. Giving 10 percent reservation in the uniformed state services of Group ‘C’ to the state government soldiers and fire is a commendable step.
