India vs Australia 2025:Australia has announced its team for the upcoming India-Australia limited overs series. Starting in Perth from October 19, this series includes ODI and T20 International matches. The national selection panel revealed the team on Tuesday, in which many prominent players have returned before domestic summer.

Major returns in ODI team

Mitchell Starc, Matthew Short and Mitchell Owen have returned to the ODI team. Short was out of the first side strain, while Owen returned to the team by recovering from injuries during the T20 series in South Africa. The team also includes left -handed batsman Matthew Renshaw, who has joined the ODI team for the first time in two years after a brilliant performance in domestic one -day cricket.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Alex Carrie will not be able to play in the first ODI in Perth, as he is busy participating in the second round of Sheffield Shield. Josh will take over the responsibility of wicketkeeping in his place. Carrie was not able to play in the first shield match recently due to his involvement in New Zealand tour.

Return to T20 team

Josh England and Nathan Ellis have returned to the T20 International team. Iglis has recovered from a calf injury, while Ellis has returned to the team after the birth of her first child. At the same time, Glenn Maxwells are not available in the team due to recovering a wrist fracture in New Zealand tour.

George Bailey, president of the selectors of Australia, said that the team selection has given attention to the preparation of the T20 World Cup and the balance between the domestic red ball session. Belly said, “We have announced the team for the first two matches of ODI and T20. At the end of the series, managing some players will be necessary, as they are preparing for summer through Sheffield Shield Cricket. Most of the players of T20 team will be together so that this proves to be an important phase in the preparation of the World Cup to be held next year."
