Fraud case of 60 crores: EOW interrogated Shilpa Shetty for hours…

Actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra had filed a case of cheating of Rs 60 crore by a businessman. At the same time, now the State Economic Offenses Branch (EOW) has recorded statements of five people including this couple after questioning the actress for about four hours and thirty minutes.

Let us know that businessman Deepak Kothari (60) was killed by Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra (Raj Kundra) in a loan-cum-investing deal by Rs 60 crore. Kothari lodged a complaint at the Juhu police station in August, after which the EOW took the matter into its hand. During the investigation of the case, many financial documents and bank transactions are being investigated.

The whole matter is going on about home shopping and online retail platform company. It was established on a large scale a few years ago. This company has now gone into liquidation. The EOW has also recorded the statement of the resolution professional Rajendra Bhutada associated with this, who said that he was called as a witness. At present, EOW has made it clear that the investigation is still in the initial stage and many new witnesses will also be questioned. New names can be revealed in this case because the nature of many transactions in the documents is said to be doubtful.

Raj Kundra’s statement

During interrogation in this case, Raj Kundra claimed that he had given some part of that amount as a professional fee to Bollywood celebrities like Bipasha Basu, Neha Dhupia and Ekta Kapoor. However, these claims have not been confirmed yet. At the same time, Shilpa Shetty has been asked by the EOW team to her role in the company, her participation in investment decisions and many questions to her signature on financial documents. According to sources, the actress described herself as ‘a silent partner’ and said that her husband Raj Kundra used to take all the operational decisions of the company.
