Delhi: Traffic banned on Ring Road between Dhaula Kuan–Naraina for 5 days; check alternative routes

New Delhi: The Delhi Traffic Police have announced that a section of the Ring Road will be temporarily closed for traffic due to the ongoing construction of Belly Bridge. The section of the Ring Road between Dhaula Kuan and Naraina, near pillars 60 and 62 in front of the Rajputana Rifles will be closed. The closure will be effective from 10 pm to 6 am.

The police have issued a traffic advisory to avoid any inconvenience to the public. According to the advisory, sections of the Ring Road will be closed on the nights of October 11, 12, 13, and 14, 2025. Traffic from Dhaula Kuan to Naraina will not be permitted on the Ring Road on October 11 and 13. Traffic from Naraina to Dhaula Kuan will be prevented from using the Ring Road on October 12 and 14.

Alternative routes

Motorists have been advised to take alternative routes via Vande Mataram Marg and Station Road. The traffic police issued an advisory stating that using alternative routes will help reduce traffic congestion. Additionally, the U-turn near Barar Square will remain open, allowing vehicles coming from Naraina to turn left onto Kriappa Marg and proceed towards Dhaula Kuan.

This condition will be applicable depending on traffic conditions. Delhi Police has urged commuters to plan their travel in advance and use suggested alternative routes to avoid any delays. In general instructions, all motorists are kindly requested to maintain patience, strictly follow traffic rules, and cooperate with traffic police personnel to maintain smooth traffic flow.
