“KPop Demon Hunters,” the Netflix animated film that took the global streaming platform by storm with its popularity, made its late-night debut on Tuesday (October 7, 2025). Huntr/x, the heroic trio of the film, took over Jimmy Fallon’s “The Tonight Show” for their first full live performance of the chart-topping single “Golden.”

EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami sing for the roles of Rumi (Arden Cho), Mira (May Hong), and Zoey (Ji-young Yoo), respectively, in “K-Pop Demon Hunters.” The animated film was released on June 20, 2025, and it became the most-watched movie of all time on Netflix by August 2025, surpassing the previous title holder, “Red Notice,” with 236 million views.

Directed by Chris Appelhans and Maggie Kang, the animated film follows a K-pop supergroup who must balance their lives as world-famous pop stars with their secret side hustle as demon slayers.

“The KPop Demon Hunters” soundtrack successfully managed to record a second non-consecutive week at No. 1 in the latest tracking week. According to Variety, of the 102,000 equivalent album units earned in the latest tracking week, the record accumulated 117 million on-demand official streams.

“Golden” scripted history in September 2025 by leading the Hot 100 for a fifth consecutive week, making it the longest-running No. 1 song by an animated act in the chart’s history.

Continuing their dream run, the “KPop Demon Hunters” soundtrack also secured four total tracks in the Hot 100’s top ten. Outside of “Golden,” “Your Idol,” “Soda Pop,” and “How It’s Done” reached No. 4, No. 5, and No. 8, respectively, Variety reported.

Huntr/x also appeared on “Saturday Night Live”

Before Jimmy Fallon’s “The Tonight Show,” Huntr/x also appeared in another late-night TV staple, “Saturday Night Live,” on October 4, 2025. It was a prelude to their official live debut. On the show, Huntr/x appeared as themselves alongside host and musical guest Bad Bunny. They performed an abbreviated version of “Golden” for the three-time Grammy winner.
