Arturo Gatti Jr., the teen son of Canadian boxing legend Arturo Gatti has tragically passed away at the age of 17. Arturo Gatti Jr. was found inside an apartment in Mexico where he lived with his mother. Gatti Jr. had been training hard to follow his father’s path in the sport and the news of his tragic death comes nearly 16 years after his father’s mysterious death in Brazil.

Arturo Gatti Jr was living in Mexico with his mother, Amanda Rodrigues and he was found dead inside an apartment on October 7, 2025. According to French-speaking Canadian network TVA Nouvelles, he was discovered by someone close to the family. The news quickly spread on social media and through boxing circles.
Authorities in Mexico have not released an official report yet. Police say the case is still under investigation. Until now, no final cause has been confirmed by officials.
