The annual survey by recruitment platform CareerViet and market research firm Amco Vietnam, now in its 12th year, was released on Thursday evening.
It polled more than 88,100 working professionals, including around 2,000 senior managers, at over 6,700 companies across various industries between early June and late August.
Other firms in the top 10 in the large category were South Korean electronics manufacturer Samsung Electronics HCMC CE Complex, consumer goods producer Masan Consumer, steelmaker Hoa Sen Group, property developer Vinhomes, instant noodle producer Acecook, private lender HDBank, jeweler PNJ, supermarket chain Lotte Mart Vietnam, and Japanese household appliances firm Panasonic.
The medium-sized category included stock brokerages VPBank Securities and Bao Viet Securities, consumer electronics arm Toshiba Vietnam Consumer Products, U.S. fast food chain McDonald’s, Norway’s Jotun Paints, educational tech startup Prep Technology, Indonesia’s snack maker Nabati, plastic recycler Duy Tan Recycling, and Taiwanese insurer Cathay Life.
CareerViet said successful businesses should strive to balance growth with company culture and workforce development strategies.
It suggested adopting the “3S” (Say – Stay – Strive) model of employee engagement developed by U.S. management and human resources consulting firm Aon Hewitt.
That model outlines several elements of the work experience that businesses can control to maximize employee engagement, which directly impacts various business indicators like customer satisfaction and profitability.
Engaged employees will say positive things about their firm, be more likely to stay with the firm out of loyalty, connection and job satisfaction, and strive to perform beyond expectations.
