Iga Swiatek has officially earned the second-most prize money in WTA history. The Wimbledon champion may have been disappointed with her quarter-final showing at the recent Wuhan Open, but she still bagged an extra £62k to overtake Venus Williams in the all-time prize money list.
Aged just 24, Swiatek has already earned millions on the court. The world No. 2 has six Grand Slam crowns, 11 WTA 1000 trophies, and nine other titles. Now, only Serena Williams has won more prize money on the WTA Tour.
Following her run to the last eight in Wuhan, Swiatek has officially earned a staggering £32,205,897 ($42,945,490) on the tennis court since turning professional less than a decade ago.
The world No. 2 overtook Venus Williams' figure of £32,147,308 ($42,867,364) this week. But there is still a way to go before she can catch the younger Williams sister, as Serena raked in £71,105,436 ($94,816,730) during her legendary career.
Swiatek's bank account got a major boost when she won Wimbledon this summer, beating Amanda Anisimova 6-0 6-0 in one of the most one-sided finals in tournament history, and receiving a £3m winners' cheque.
So far this season alone, the Polish star has taken home £7.1m ($9.4m) in prize money, also lifting trophies in Cincinnati and Seoul.

Swiatek's highest-earning season came in 2022, when she reached No. 1 in the world, lifted two Grand Slam titles, and went on an incredible 37-match winning streak.
The world No. 2 bagged £7.4m ($9.9m) that year, and could well surpass it in 2025 with a strong finish at the WTA Finals in Riyadh.
The champion receives £1.9m ($2.5m), plus all of the money they earn during the round-robin stages.
Swiatek isn't the only one climbing up the career prize money list. World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka currently sits in fourth place and is also on course to surpass Venus, as she's banked £31,857,280 ($42,480,621) and counting.
Sabalenka is also primed to have the highest-earning season of all time on the WTA Tour. In 2013, Serena Williams took home £9,288,250 ($12,385,572) and the recent US Open champion has already made £9,234,216 ($12,313,519) in prize money this year.
