Change No. 1: Easy Online Aadhaar Updation
Previously, it was necessary to visit an Aadhaar Seva Kendra to update or make any corrections to Aadhaar. Now, this can be done online. If you have a computer or laptop, you can use that, and if not, you have a mobile phone! Why worry?
Go to the UIDAI website or search on Google - Aadhaar Update... From the links that appear on the screen, click on this UIDAI link (https://uidai.gov.in/hi/my-aadhaar-hi/update-your-aadhaar-hi.html).
The information you provide (such as name or address) will be automatically verified against government documents like your PAN card, passport, driver's license, or ration card. This fast and secure process will make your work much easier.

Fee for updating name, address, or mobile number: ₹75
Fee for updating fingerprint, iris scan, or photo: ₹125
Online document update until June 14, 2026: Free
Update charge at a service center from June 15, 2026: ₹75
Charge for Aadhaar reprint (printed copy): ₹40
Home service: Charge for the first person: ₹700
Charge for an additional person at the same address: ₹350
Relief: Biometric updates will be free for children aged 5 to 7 and adolescents aged 15 to 17.
Change No. 2: Aadhaar-PAN Linking Mandatory
As the government has been saying for a long time, every PAN card holder must link their PAN with Aadhaar. You have until December 31, 2025. That means you have two full months left from today.
If you fail to do so, your PAN card will be deactivated from January 1, 2026, and you will not be able to use it for any financial or tax-related process. According to the changes, Aadhaar verification will now be required even when applying for a new PAN card.
Change No. 3: Aadhaar KYC Process Simplified at Banks
The Know Your Customer (KYC) process has now been simplified significantly for banks and other financial institutions. You can complete your KYC process through Aadhaar OTP verification. You can also do this through video KYC, while face-to-face verification is a must. Overall, the entire process will be faster and paperless.
