Ewable energy partnership: RSWM Partners with Adani Energy Solutions to Boost Renewable Power Usage
Strategic Agreement for Green Energy Supply
RSWM, one of India’s prominent textile manufacturing companies, has entered into a major agreement with Adani Energy Solutions Ltd for the supply of 60 MW renewable power. This collaboration marks a significant step towards the company’s transition to clean energy and supports its long-term sustainability roadmap.
Expansion of Green Power Infrastructure
Under this partnership, Adani Energy Solutions will oversee the complete renewable power value chain required to meet the additional energy needs of RSWM. The company has invested Rs 60 crore through the Group Captive Scheme in a renewable generation company to ensure the supply of 31.53 crore units of clean electricity every year to its manufacturing locations in Rajasthan.
Increasing Renewable Energy Share
With the newly added capacity, the share of renewable energy in RSWM’s overall power consumption is expected to rise from the existing 33 percent to nearly 70 percent in the coming years. This shift will enable the company to replace almost two-thirds of its total energy mix with sustainable power sources, significantly reducing its dependence on conventional energy.
Leadership Vision on Sustainability
Riju Jhunjhunwala, Chairman, Managing Director, and CEO of RSWM, stated that the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to growth driven by sustainability. He highlighted that adopting large-scale renewable power strengthens RSWM’s position as an environmentally responsible industrial leader.
AESL’s Role in Industrial Decarbonisation
Kandarp Patel, CEO of Adani Energy Solutions, expressed that this collaboration showcases how renewable power is becoming a core part of industrial strategies. AESL, which focuses on delivering customised clean power solutions to commercial and industrial users, aims to reach a portfolio of 7,000 MW within the next five years. The company provides reliable and cost-efficient energy that supports both operational efficiency and sustainability targets for businesses.
Strengthening Energy Security
Rajeev Gupta, Joint Managing Director of RSWM, emphasised that hybrid power integration will not only lower emissions but also ensure long-term energy stability for the company. AESL currently operates India’s largest private transmission network, spanning 16 states with a total transmission capacity of 26,705 ckm and 97,236 MVA.
