The final of Celebrity Traitors saw an average audience of 11.1million, with a peak of 12million, the BBC has said. The broadcaster stated that it was the biggest overnight audience since the episode of Gavin and Stacey on Christmas Day last year. The extended 70-minute finale was packed with dramatic twists and high-stakes decisions, beginning with a train-themed mission that ended in a dramatic explosion. The final five - singer Cat Burns, former rugby player Joe Marler, comedian Nick Mohammed, historian and broadcaster David Olusoga, and Alan Carr - faced one last roundtable where suspicions ran high.

In a final twist, comedian and television host Alan, 49, managed to outwit his fellow contestants to claim victory, and he also landed the prize of £87,500, which will go to a charity of his choice.

Alan, who became one of the show's Traitors early in the competition, triumphed in Thursday's (06.11.25) tense final episode of the BBC reality series.

The Chatty Man host beat fellow finalists Cat Burns, Joe Marler, Nick Mohammed, and David Olusoga after weeks of strategic gameplay, alliances, and betrayals filmed at Ardross Castle.

In the final, Joe, believing Alan and Cat were the Traitors, made a pact to vote against David while secretly plotting to expose them later on. However, the round table produced a major twist when Cat Burns was voted out in a 3-2 decision.

Joe wrote her name down, but under the game's rules, Cat was not allowed to reveal she had indeed been a Traitor all along. In the next stage, Alan accused Joe of deception, and Joe retaliated. David then sided with Alan, and in a surprise twist, Nick also turned on Joe - citing unease over Joe's apology to Cat before her elimination. Joe was then banished as a result.

When the group agreed to end the game, Alan was revealed as the last remaining Traitor, securing his victory and the £87,500 prize for a charity of his choosing.

All episodes of Celebrity Traitors can be streamed on BBC iPlayer.
