It is very easy to make spicy roasted sweet potato chaat at home during winters. Sweet potato chaat is not only delicious to eat, but is also very beneficial for health. To make sweet potato chaat, you will need sweet potatoes, oil or ghee, finely chopped onion, chilli powder, chaat masala, salt, lemon juice, green chutney and tamarind chutney. Apart from this, you will need pomegranate seeds, roasted peanuts, mint leaves, finely chopped coriander and to decorate the chaat. Chaat masala will be required. To make sweet potato chaat, first wash the sweet potatoes thoroughly and fry them on low flame, turning frequently. If you wish, you can also cook it in a pressure cooker by adding 2 glasses of water first. Once the sweet potatoes are roasted or steamed, place them in a large plate and peel them. There are sweet potatoes inside, so peel them carefully. Then, cut the peeled sweet potatoes into thick pieces and keep them in a bowl. People often make chaat by adding spices to the sweet potatoes immediately after roasting them, but for better taste, fry the sweet potato pieces. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a pan, then add the sweet potato pieces. Fry them while turning them occasionally. When they become light golden, take them out in a bowl. Add finely chopped onion, chopped coriander, red chilli and chaat masala in a bowl. Mix them well. Next, add some salt, as chaat masala has a salty taste. Next, add the lemon juice to the mixture, then add the sweet potatoes from the bowl and mix well. Now, add green chutney and mix again. For garnish, sprinkle with pomegranate seeds, roasted peanuts, coriander seeds and a little chaat masala. Serve with mint leaves.
