Delicious No-Stuffing Rice Fara Recipe for Winter

Winter Delight: No-Stuffing Rice Fara - The thought of lentil fara is enough to make anyone crave it, yet the preparation can be quite daunting. Many families reserve this dish for special occasions due to the tedious process of soaking, grinding lentils, and preparing the filling.

What if we told you that you can create equally delicious and soft fara without using lentils? Today, we present a simple and quick recipe for rice flour fara that requires minimal ingredients and effort.

This dish is not only light and tasty but also promotes good digestion. Whether for breakfast or a light evening snack, rice fara is a versatile option for any meal.

Ingredients for Rice Fara
Rice Flour
Salt
Oil
Mustard Seeds
Dried Chillies
Coriander

Preparation Method
To prepare rice fara, start by placing rice flour in a bowl, adding a pinch of salt, and kneading it into a soft dough with lukewarm water. Cover the dough and allow it to rest for 10-15 minutes.

Next, shape the dough into thin, elongated balls and gently roll them into fara. Boil water in a large pot and add the prepared fara. They will rise to the surface in about 10-12 minutes, indicating they are ready.

Once they float, turn off the heat and let them cool. In a pan, heat a little oil, add mustard seeds and dried chilies for tempering. After tempering, add the fara.

When they turn golden brown, mix in finely chopped coriander leaves, and serve with chutney. The flavor is enhanced when paired with green coriander chutney, garlic chutney, or a sweet and sour pickle.
