IBPS Advisory 2025: IBPS has issued strict guidelines on fake or non-genuine scores. In case of doubtful answer, the score of the candidate will be canceled immediately. It has been said in the guidelines that if fake scores are found, the result may be canceled even after release.
IBPS Exam Guidelines 2025: An important news has come to light for lakhs of students preparing for banking exams. IBPS i.e. Institute of Banking Personal Selection has now increased the strictness on non-genuine scores i.e. marks obtained in a non-honest manner in the examination. It has been seen many times that some candidates score marks by adopting wrong methods or by some kind of collusion, due to which the genuine candidates who work hard suffer losses. To stop this, IBPS has issued a new advisory note. It explains on what basis, how and why a candidate's score will be considered fake or doubtful and in such cases IBPS will directly cancel the score, that too without any prior notice. Candidates can check this notice on the official website of IBPS, ibps.in.
New rule of IBPS: Immediate action as soon as fake score is found
IBPS has clearly stated that now any suspicious score found in the exam will be thoroughly investigated. The sole purpose behind doing this is to ensure that no harm is caused to the candidates who have given the exam by working hard in a true manner.
How will IBPS identify which scores are genuine and which are not?
IBPS has prepared a complete process in which the score will be checked by combining various types of data and reports. It includes 5 layer investigation-
- Reports received from the examination center
- Pattern of answers given by the candidates
- How and how fast the questions were solved
- Were the answers given in an identical or ambiguous manner?
- Report related to any kind of irregularity or misconduct
- On the basis of all these things, IBPS will decide whether the score of a candidate is genuine or not.
If IBPS finds the score fake then it will be canceled directly.
If upon verification the score of a candidate is found to be non-genuine, IBPS will cancel his/her score without any delay. The result of such candidates will not be declared, because their answers will not be considered valid.
If fake, IBPS score may be canceled even after result.
The biggest thing is that IBPS has said that, if any new information is found later or the score is found to be fake on re-analysis, then the score of the candidate can be canceled even after the result is released. In such a situation, IBPS will also inform the concerned department or bank.

What should IBPS candidates do?
After the advisory issued by IBPS, now candidates should keep these things in mind to avoid any kind of problem-
- Take the exam yourself.
- Avoid any kind of wrong practice.
- Share information about any error found during the exam immediately
- Stay away from any kind of collusion or cheating, as if caught, the score will be canceled directly.
