Google has introduced Nano Banana Pro, a new artificial intelligence (AI) image generation and editing model powered by Gemini 3 Pro. The company claims it is a state-of-the-art tool that can generate high-quality visuals with improved reasoning and real-world knowledge.
According to Google, Nano Banana Pro now supports image downloads in 2K and 4K resolution. The upgraded model is designed to deliver better creative output, including accurate multilingual text rendering and studio-level visual quality.
The model will be available to global users with different rate limits. Free users will have the lowest quota and will be switched back to the Gemini 2.5 Pro version once their limit is consumed. Google AI Plus, Pro and Ultra subscribers will get higher usage quotas. It will also be available in AI Mode for paid users in the US, and through NotebookLM for paid users worldwide.
Google says the tool can convert ideas into detailed visuals for creative professionals, enterprises and advertisers. It supports infographics, diagrams, branded mock-ups and context-based visuals by accessing live information like weather and sports. It can apply consistent styling across multiple reference images and even depict up to five people in its output.
Nano Banana Pro also adds more granular control options such as local transformations, camera-angle changes, aspect ratio shifts, lighting and focus adjustments. Users can generate visuals suitable for social media or print, based on their needs.
All images created using Google’s AI tools will include SynthID digital watermarking. Free and Pro users will see visible watermarks, while Ultra subscribers and enterprise users can opt for watermark-free outputs for professional use.
