Who is Rohit Sharma’s opening partner?
Rohit Sharma’s opening partner can be either Rituraj Gaikwad or Yashasvi Jaiswal. Gaikwad has played 6 ODIs for India so far, in which he has failed to impress. On these 6 occasions, he has scored only 115 runs with an average of 19.17 and strike rate of 73.25. Yashasvi Jaiswal is eagerly waiting for his turn in ODI. Due to Shubman Gill being in the opening position, Jaiswal has got a chance to play only one ODI so far in which he scored 15 runs on 22 balls. KL Rahul and Gautam Gambhir may give preference to Jaiswal over Gaikwad because Gaikwad was out of the team for 2 years.

Who is in the middle order with Virat Kohli?
KL Rahul has already confirmed before the match that he is going to bat at number 6 only, hence the position of number 4-5 is vacant. Virat Kohli will definitely bat at number 3 only. Gaikwad may get a chance here, but if India wants to field a pace bowler all-rounder in the form of Nitish Kumar Reddy, then he can come at number-5. In such a situation, Rishabh Pant will take charge of number-4.

Lack of experience in bowling
Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar can make their place at number-7 and 8 respectively. Both of them can create havoc with the ball as well as contribute with the bat on the Ranchi pitch. Kuldeep Yadav will lead the spin department. The two fast bowlers could be Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana.

Indian Playing XI- Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Nitish Kumar Reddy, KL Rahul (captain), Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh.
