How to make Tiramisu with a Dubai Chocolate twistIngredients
Mascarpone Filling:
- Eight ounces of mascarpone cheese
- One-half cup heavy cream
- Three egg yolks
- One-third cup of sugar
- One-fourth teaspoon salt
Kataifi Pistachio Mixture:
- Four ounces kataifi
- Two tablespoons of butter
- One-half cup pistachio cream
- Pinch of salt
Tiramisu Layers:
- Twelve to fourteen ladyfingers
- One-half to three-fourths cup coffee mixture
- One cup of strawberries, sliced (optional)
Topping:
- One to two tablespoons cocoa powder
Method
To begin, prepare the mascarpone filling. In a bowl, combine the mascarpone, heavy cream, egg yolks, sugar, and salt. Whisk the mixture until it becomes smooth, light, and fluffy, with a creamy consistency that is perfect for layering.
Next, chop the kataifi into smaller pieces and melt the butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the kataifi and toast it gently, stirring frequently, until it turns golden brown. Once toasted, transfer the kataifi to a bowl and mix it together with the pistachio cream and a small pinch of salt until well combined.
To assemble the tiramisu, quickly dip the ladyfingers into the coffee mixture, making sure they absorb some liquid but do not become soggy. Arrange the soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a baking dish, then spread half of the mascarpone filling evenly over them.
Layer the sliced strawberries on top of the mascarpone, followed by the kataifi pistachio mixture. Repeat the layers as desired, maintaining a balance of textures and flavours.
Finish the tiramisu with a final layer of the remaining mascarpone filling, smoothing it gently. Finally, dust the top with cocoa powder to add a rich, chocolatey touch.
