An 18-year-old rider died in a road accident near Breadliner Circle in the Khatodara police station area on Monday morning. Police said the victim, Prince Patel, was riding a KTM sports bike at high speed when he lost control and hit the road divider, resulting in his death on the spot, a TOI report stated. Investigators said Patel was coming from the VNSGU side and descending the flyover towards Breadliner Circle when he lost control. He was reportedly not wearing a helmet at the time. The impact was so severe that his head was severed from his body.
Police added that Patel was active on social media and often posted riding videos. He had uploaded a clip showing his bike reaching 140 kmph and had named his motorcycle ‘Laila’. Khatodara police registered a fatal accident FIR and started an investigation.
Few days ago, Prince had also shared a video on his instagram expressing his love for 'Laila' even in heaven. Referring himself as 'Majnu', Prince was heard narrating the tale of separation due to death, but still loving that one person, here, a vehicle.
The A Division team reached the spot and began legal procedures. The body was sent for postmortem, and the motorcycle was seized. Police said footage from BRTS cameras will also be examined.

Ahmedabad crash claims another young rider
In another accident in Ahmedabad, a man in his 20s died late on Monday night after his speeding motorcycle hit the metal grill of the BRTS track near GMDC ground, according to city traffic police. Officers said the impact was strong enough to sever one of his hands. The rider had no identification documents, and police are working to confirm his identity.Possible illegal race angle
