Team India has been announced for the T20 series against South Africa. During the second ODI match between India and South Africa in Raipur, BCCI announced a squad of 15 members for the 5-match T20 series. The most special thing in this is the return of Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya, who are returning to the team after injury. Gill has been made the vice-captain but his participation in the series will depend on his fitness. But a big decision has been taken regarding Rinku Singh, who has been dropped from the team for this series.

The Indian Cricket Board selected the squad for the T20 series in Raipur on Wednesday 3 December. The selection of players for the 5-match series was discussed in the selection committee meeting. The wait was to see whether the selectors would choose Shubman Gill or not. Gill suffered a neck injury during the first Test match against South Africa, due to which he was ruled out of the Test series and then the ODI series. Since then he is going through the recovery and rehabilitation process.

However, the selectors decided to retain Gill in the squad and also made it clear that his playing will depend on his fitness. At the same time, Hardik Pandya is also returning to Team India after two months. The star all-rounder played his last match before the final in Asia Cup 2025. Since then he was out due to injury but recently he proved his fitness by making a comeback in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Suryakumar Yadav, Shubhman Gill, Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Verma, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dubey, Axar Patel, Jitesh Sharma, Sanju Samson, Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakraborty, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana and Washington Sundar.
