Visakhapatnam: The final match of the three-match ODI series between India and South Africa will be played on 6 December at the Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam. Both the teams have won one match each, so this match is going to prove to be a real final. The match will start at 1:30 pm Indian time and the eyes of the fans will be fixed on the team combination and performance of the players.
Less possibility of change in Team India
Despite the defeat in the second ODI, Indian captain KL Rahul is unlikely to make any changes in his playing eleven. This means that Nitish Kumar Reddy, Rishabh Pant, Dhruv Jurel and Tilak Verma may have to wait on the bench once again.
For the Indian team, in this match also all eyes will be on Virat Kohli, who is in excellent form and has scored two consecutive centuries. Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal are also ready to give a powerful start.
Amazing work of Rituraj Gaikwad
Rituraj Gaikwad had scored a brilliant century while batting at number-4 in Raipur ODI. Class, control and patience were seen in his batting. Something like this is often seen in Virat Kohli’s game.
The problem India faces in the bowling department is that Prasidh Krishna had given away 85 runs in the last match. Despite this, the option of bringing another fast bowler in his place in the team is limited, because there is a lack of specialist pacer in the squad. In such a situation, removing him would be risky for the team balance.
South Africa’s troubles increased
South Africa appeared to be struggling with injuries in the second ODI. Batsman Tony De Jorzi and fast bowler Nandre Berger were ruled out during the match due to hamstring injuries. Hamstring injuries do not heal quickly, so it is almost impossible for both of them to play in the third ODI. In such a situation, changes in the playing eleven are considered certain. Otniel Bartman may get a chance in place of Berger, while Ryan Rickelton may come in place of De Jorzi.
visakhapatnam pitch report
The pitch at Visakhapatnam has shown different pictures in the last two matches. In 2019, India scored 387 runs against West Indies. In 2023, Australia had all out India for 117. This time the weather is clear and there was no hindrance in preparing the pitch. Therefore, it is expected that the wicket will be helpful for the batsmen and a high-scoring match can be seen. The temperature will also be comfortable as expected, which will be favorable for the players.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ruturaj Gaikwad, KL Rahul (captain/wicketkeeper), Washington Sundar, Ravindra Jadeja, Harshit Rana, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna
