Former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan issued a savage swipe during last night's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! final. During Sunday's final episode, Angry Ginge was crowned King of the Jungle as he edged out Tom Read Wilson and Shona McGarty. Twitch streamer Angryginge - whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle - became the first social media star to be crowned the winner on the ITV reality show. Just moments before the winner was announced, Piers took to social media to react with his own opinion, typing on X: "I've never heard of any of the final three contestants in I'm A Celebrity. Maybe they should change the name of the show to I'm Not A Celebrity?"

Angry Ginge - known for creating football-related social content for his millions of followers and having fiery online rants - beat Celebs Go Dating's Tom Read Wilson, 39, who finished as runner-up, and former EastEnders actress Shona McGarty, 34, who claimed third place.

One of Piers' followers disagreed with him and replied: "Really? Angry Ginge I could understand, but not the other two, especially Shona!"

Another echoed: "There will be celebrities that you have heard of, but a lot of us don't know who they are. Doesn't mean they aren't celebrities."

One fan did agree with Piers and said: "Sign we're getting older, Piers. Been saying this for a few years now. Ditto #Strictly. "Which one's the celebrity? What do they do?"

Moments after Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly announced him as this year's winner, Angry Ginge told the pair: "I don't think I can swear, but I feel amazing. Honestly, a dream come true. I didn't think I could go all this way, never mind win. Thank you to everyone who voted."

The 24-year-old admitted the experience was tougher than he expected.

He added: "Nobody warned me ... No one said it was going to be that hard. I'm so glad I done it though."

Admitting he contemplated giving up several times, he continued: "That was the hardest thing I've ever done and was a real mental test."
