As we kick off the first full week in the Love Island All Stars villa, one of our favourite parts is watching the contestants get glammed up in the brand new glam room. As well as being the perfect time to catch up on some gossip from the day, we also get a chance to learn some of their beauty secrets first hand.

Whether it’s how they prep their skin for a day round the pool, or what goes into achieving their flawless makeup looks, it’s prime time for finding out what products are a must-have for the Islanders. One product we’ve spotted that’s well-stocked on the bathroom shelves is the L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Filler Plumping Aqua-Fluid SPF30 Moisturiser, which is currently on sale at Boots – the official Love Island partner.

Usually priced at £15.99, you can currently snap it up for just £11.99, making it a great affordable buy if you want skin that rivals the All Stars cast. Taking inspiration from Korean beauty products, the moisturiser is packed with ingredients that hydrate, plump and protect your skin, all whilst reducing signs of ageing.

The Revitalift Filler Plumping Aqua-Fluid SPF30 Moisturiser is a brand new launch from L’Oreal and is part of its new Glass Skin series of products, which also include a liquid cream and a glow-boosting mask inspired by K-beauty’s signature glass skin skincare routines. The moisturiser contains both macro and micro hyaluronic acids which penetrate through different layers of your skin to hydrate and plump it up from the inside out.

This not only creates a more bouncy, healthy appearance, but helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for an anti-ageing effect. The Revitalift Filler Plumping Aqua-Fluid Moisturiser also contains niacinamide, which help to smooth out skin texture for a more even appearance, well as SPF30 – essential for every day, but especially if you’re spending hours in the South African sun in the Love Island villa.

There are some other great moisturisers around that offer similar results, such as The Dewy Skin Cream from Tatcha which hydrates, plumps and reduces fine lines, although it’s pricier at £67 for a 50ml jar. You could also pick up the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Moist Cream from LookFantastic, where it’s on sale down from £20.62 to £16.50 and contains five molecular weights of hyaluronic acid.

Other more affordable options include Q+A’s Hyaluronic Acid Daily Moisturiser, which is just £9, and the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel which is £7.91 down from £13.49 at Amazon. However the Revitalift Filler Plumping Aqua-Fluid Moisturiser has already gotten high praise from Boots shoppers, who’ve rated it 4.7 out of 5 stars.

One said: “Very lightweight liquid SPF moisturiser that sinks into skin quickly. Hydrating & no whitening residue on skin. Cooling sensation on skin, great for when your having a hot flush! or summer time. My skin is dryer during the winter so I apply on top of facial oils for added comfort & hydration. No piling.”

Another wrote: “I'm yet to find a skin tint I like so I usually custom mix moisturiser, SPF and foundation. This hit two off in one and blends on the skin beautifully leaving a soft glow allowing my skin to look like skin not covered up or heavy.”

And a third praised the Revitalift Filler Plumping Aqua-Fluid Moisturiser by adding: “As it's winter now my skin is superdry. I used this after cleaning my skin and it works wonders. Leaves my skin hydrated and soft without feeling greasy. Its light so it absorbs well into my skin. It does [have] a little bit of a strong smell but other than that no issues with it.”

However one did caution: “I tried this in the morning before I put my makeup on. It sinks in really quickly so there's no waiting for it to sink in and no stickiness either. However, I found my makeup didn't go on as well as it normally does and throughout the day it didn't stay on as long either. I think for me I will use it when I'm not wearing makeup.”

And another said: “I wasn't too much of a fan of this. Although it did help with fine lines my skin felt dry and tight afterwards. The spf is good and I wonder if it was that ingredient that my skin didn't like as I have had that issue before.”
