The UGC NET examination was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) at various examination centers across the country on December 31, 2025, and January 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7, 2026.  Candidates who appeared for the NTA UGC NET exam are eagerly awaiting the final answer key and results. Although no official notification regarding the release of the results has been issued by the NTA, according to various media reports, the NTA NET exam results and final answer key are expected to be released soon.

Candidates who qualify in this examination will be eligible for Junior Research Fellowship, Assistant Professor positions, and PhD admissions.

UGC NET Result 2026: How to Download the Result
After the results are released by the NTA, candidates can view and download their results using the following steps:

To view and download the result, first visit the official website nta.nic.in.
Now, click on the UGC NET Result 2026 section on the website's homepage.
After clicking on the link, enter your login credentials, such as application number and password.
After entering the login details, the result will open on your screen.
Finally, be sure to take a printout of the result.

Minimum Marks Required to Pass
To pass the UGC NET examination, general and EWS candidates must secure 40 percent marks, while SC, ST, and OBC candidates must secure 35 percent marks. All candidates who appeared for the exam are advised to regularly visit the official NTA website for the latest updates regarding the final answer key and results.
