BPSSC Police SI Vacancy: The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of 78 Sub-Inspector (Prohibition) posts in the Prohibition, Excise, and Registration Department of the Government of Bihar. Eligible Indian citizens can apply online from January 27, 2026. The last date to apply is February 27, 2026.
A total of 78 posts will be filled under this recruitment.
Eligibility Criteria for Application
Candidates must possess a graduate degree from a recognized university. Additionally, any examination recognized by the state government as equivalent to a graduate degree by August 1, 2025, will also be accepted as an educational qualification.
Under age relaxation, government employees of the state who have completed a minimum of three years of regular service will be given a five-year relaxation in the upper age limit. Ex-servicemen will be given a relaxation of three years in addition to their period of service in the defense sector, provided their maximum age does not exceed 57 years on the cut-off date.
Application Fee
Candidates of all categories (male, female, and third gender) will have to pay an application fee of Rs. 100. The fee can only be paid online through net banking, credit/debit card, or UPI. Please note that no additional charges will be levied, but bank transaction charges will have to be borne by the candidate.
Selection Process
The selection process will consist of five stages. First, there will be a preliminary written examination, which will be of an objective type. This will be followed by a main written examination, which will also be objective. Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which will be qualifying in nature. This will be followed by document verification and finally a medical examination.

Go to the 'Prohibition Department' tab and click on advertisement number 03/2026.
Complete the registration with a valid mobile number and email ID.
Complete the first part of the application and submit the online fee. After payment, log in using your registration ID and password.
Fill in your personal, academic, and address details accurately in the second part of the application.
Finally, keep a copy of the application form for your records.
