If your throat is sore from coughing, and if colds and chest congestion make breathing difficult at times, you should try this home remedy. You can easily get rid of phlegm with the help of a few ingredients found in your kitchen.
I'm one of those people who catch colds and coughs very quickly. Imagine if the weather changes, winter begins, or it rains, I'm probably the first person in my family to get a cold and sore throat. Sometimes, the phlegm in my chest makes it difficult to breathe, and the constant coughing only worsens the condition. Taking antibiotics isn't always the best idea, but I still need to take them repeatedly. Even then, my problem didn't completely disappear. Then, I tried a home remedy my grandmother gave me, and believe me, my cough vanished within a few days. The most important thing is that this remedy didn't cause me any side effects. I then spoke with a dietitian about this remedy, and she also declared it effective. In fact, she said she uses it herself and recommends it to others. Come, you too should know about this home remedy, which is also approved by dietician Radhika Goyal .

- To relieve phlegm, mix turmeric, salt, and black pepper with honey. Honey can help expel phlegm from the chest. Honey has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
- It loosens and expels thick mucus, reduces throat inflammation, and soothes a sore throat. It also helps clear infections.
- Turmeric contains curcumin, a powerful antioxidant that boosts immunity, soothes sore throats, and helps fight infections. Turmeric has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antiviral properties. Consuming it can help reduce inflammation in the respiratory tract and help clear mucus.
- Salt, on the other hand, helps remove dirt and bacteria from the throat. It also helps thin and expel thick mucus. Combined with black pepper, turmeric, and honey, it makes a powerful remedy for cough relief.
