This year's Australian Open is really starting to heat up as we enter the tournament's second week. Jannik Sinner is in action against fellow Italian player Luciano Darderi, with the winner earning a place in the quarter-finals. His biggest title rival Carlos Alcaraz is already safely through, having beaten Tommy Paul to set up a last-eight meeting with Alex de Minaur.
Novak Djokovic has also booked his place in the quarter-finals without even stepping onto the court. He was due to face Jakub Mensik but the Czech player was forced to withdraw from their match because of an injury. On the women's side, reigning champion Madison Keys has been dumped out by Jessica Pegula, while Iga Swiatek must beat qualifier Maddy Inglis to earn herself a place in the final eight.
