On Monday, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis emphasized that India is making rapid strides towards becoming the world's third-largest economy, thanks to its constitutional and democratic values.
While addressing the Republic Day celebrations at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Ground in Dadar, Fadnavis mentioned that Maharashtra recently signed investment agreements worth ₹30 lakh crore at the World Economic Forum in Davos, further strengthening the state's role in boosting India's economy.
He stated, “India is progressing swiftly due to its constitutional and democratic principles, and we are on the path to becoming the third-largest economy globally. The memorandum of understanding signed at the World Economic Forum will reinforce the state's pivotal role in the nation's economic backbone.”
After hoisting the national flag, the Chief Minister assured that Maharashtra will not slow down.
He affirmed that the state will remain dynamic and continue to advance with the power of the Constitution.
Fadnavis paid tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and expressed gratitude to him and the members of the Constituent Assembly for their contributions to the Constitution.
He remarked, “The values of freedom, equality, and brotherhood are integral to Indian culture and are clearly reflected in our Constitution.”
The Chief Minister highlighted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, India is now recognized as a significant global power and economy, a feat made possible by the democratic framework established by the Constitution.
