A few days off. Long list in hand. When visiting a particular place, you want to see all the spots there! The middle class group traveled with this mindset.
Today this river, tomorrow that mountain. Rushing to the next destination before it ends. This is the name of wandering around, is it really travel? Or a boring competition? Gone are the days of matching check-lists from one city to another. The new mantra on the tourism map is ‘slow travel’.
What is this ‘slow travel’? Today’s generation is changing the definition of travel. Especially Jen-G or Young Turks. They no longer want to visit ten places in five days. Rather, they prefer to spend more time in one place. It reduces fatigue. The pressure on the pocket is also much less. A spiritual pull develops with the destination.
According to a recent survey, about 84 percent of tourists now prefer farmhouse or village seclusion over luxury hotels. Even on foreign tourism platforms, the search for ‘farm stay’ or rural accommodation has increased several times. People now need open air, mountain trails and the smell of earth. The new trend is to get away from the mechanical noise and see the rural life up close. But the beginning of this trend is held by Zen-G.

Why this change? Experts say Zen-G is now looking for a simple routine to escape the rat race of daily life. Tourists are choosing small towns instead of big famous cities. As the cost of staying and eating there is low, the opportunity to socialize with local people is very high.
Travel is no longer just about reaching a destination. Travel now to find yourself. Walking slowly, exploring new cultures, unfamiliar faces, unknown places. And take a little more. The pursuit of peace. Standing in 2026, the tourism world is saying – don’t rush, now go a little slowly, my friend!
