Vadodara: Delhi Capitals captain Jemimah Rodrigues has been fined Rs 12 lakh for a slow over-rate against Gujarat Giants (GG). In this match played on Tuesday night at BCA Stadium in Vadodara, Delhi Capitals women’s team lost against GG by three runs. That is why Rodriguez has been fined for slow over rate.
This was Jemima’s first slow over rate offence, for which she was fined Rs 12 lakh. After two consecutive wins last week, Rodriguez’s team fell a bit short in the playoff race as they suffered a three-run loss to the Giants. This happened when they conceded 174/9, of which 15 runs came in the 20th over. They had a poor start to the chase, but a seventh-wicket partnership gave them hope and pulled the match to the end.
