New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has blamed the Congress Party for the problem of infiltration in Assam. He said that there was a big change in the population of the state during the 20 years of Congress rule. Shah claimed that more than 64 lakh infiltrators have now taken over the seven districts of Assam.
The names of these seven districts are Dhubri, Barpeta, Darrang, Morigaon, Bongaigaon, Nagaon and Goalpara. He warned that earlier there were very few infiltrators in these areas, but due to the policies of Congress this number has increased.
Only BJP can stop infiltration
Speaking at an election rally in Dhemaji, Shah said only the BJP government can solve this problem. He appealed to the people not to go to the border with weapons, but to re-elect BJP in the elections.
Shah praised the government of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and said that it will work to stop infiltration. He said that under the leadership of Modi government, more than 1.26 lakh acres of land has been taken back from infiltrators in Assam.
Talk on the role of tribal community
Shah praised the hard work of the missing tribal community of Assam. He said that the hard-working lifestyle of this community has contributed a lot in stopping infiltration in Upper Assam. Infiltrators could not enter this area, the credit for this goes to the culture of the Mising community.
Shah alleged that during the Congress era, many tribal groups found it difficult to save their identity. Now the BJP government is holding talks to solve their problems and a negotiator has also been appointed.
Assembly elections will be held in Assam
Actually, assembly elections are going to be held in Assam in March-April this year. There are 126 seats in the state and BJP has been in power continuously since 2016. Shah appealed to the people to elect BJP for the third time so that the problem of infiltration can be controlled. Congress is trying to take back power this time, but Shah said that only BJP can keep the state safe.
