Akhilesh Yadav Attack On BJP: A huge uproar broke out in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh on Friday (January 30, 2026) when BJP MLA Brij Bhushan Rajput stopped the convoy of his own government’s cabinet minister Swatantra Dev Singh in the middle of the road. The political turmoil in UP has intensified regarding this matter. Now on this matter, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav took a dig and said that this is just an example.
SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav posted on X and wrote that we had already said that not only the ‘double engine’ of BJP but also the coaches are colliding with each other. Be it BJP ministers or MLAs who are busy earning money and grabbing land, none of them are working for the public or development.
‘This time BJP will not get candidates’
Akhilesh Yadav further wrote in his social media post that to avoid public anger, they are blaming each other. The taking hostage of a minister of his own BJP government by a BJP MLA shows that the MLAs of the BJP government are now going to lose in the next elections. However, it should not be thought that this is a fight only between these two. Actually, this is just a sample, the situation is the same in every assembly constituency. This time BJP will not get any candidates to contest the elections. BJP’s power has derailed.
Yogi’s ministers and MLAs clash with each other?
In Mahoba, BJP MLA stopped the convoy of Minister Swatantra Dev Singh to express his protest. UP Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh would hardly have thought that in the district where he reached to review government schemes and programs, the MLAs of his own party would stand in front of him like a wall. When Minister Swatantra Dev Singh was going from one program to another, BJP MLA from Charkhari Brij Bhushan Rajput along with about 50 village heads and hundreds of supporters stopped his convoy of vehicles on the highway. The hands and feet of the police and administrative officials became numb.
MLA said officials are not listening to him
The SDM and CO tried hard to convince the MLA, but the enthusiasm and anger of the supporters was not diminishing. Seeing the situation worsening, the cabinet minister himself got down from his car and reached the MLA on foot. MLA Brij Bhushan Rajput alleged that the roads of about 100 villages in his assembly constituency were dug up in the name of laying pipelines under the Jal Jeevan Mission, but even after months they were not repaired. The MLA clearly said that the officials are not listening to him, due to which there is huge anger among the villagers.
Swatantra Dev Singh took angry MLA to Collectorate
Meanwhile, when the police tried to remove the supporters, the atmosphere became tense and there was a fierce scuffle. To pacify the angry MLA, Minister Swatantra Dev Singh took him to the Collectorate in his own car. There, an emergency meeting was held with ADM Namami Gange, DM, SP and other officials in a closed room for about an hour. The minister, in a strict tone, has assured that the dug up roads will be repaired within 20 days.
Negligence will not be tolerated – MLA
However, even after this meeting, the bitterness did not seem to subside, the Minister Swatantra Dev Singh Left without talking to the media, while MLA Brij Bhushan Rajput roared that this is an ambitious plan of PM Modi and negligence of the officials will not be tolerated. He warned that if the work is not done, he is ready to take even more stringent steps.
