Hero and TVS electric bikes: Buying an electric two-wheeler in India is now considered easy. The demand for two-wheelers has increased tremendously in the last five years. The e-two-wheeler market has seen tremendous growth led by electric scooters and most of the major players are now firmly established. Hero MotoCorp and TVS Motor Company have filed design patents for their upcoming electric bikes in India, hinting that launches could be sooner than expected. Let us know.

Hero MotoCorp Electric Bike Design Patent
Although both companies have not officially confirmed the timeline, these documents clearly reveal what their future electric motorcycles could bring.

Hero MotoCorp is preparing to expand its electric portfolio under its electric vehicle brand Vida. The company has applied for a design patent in India for the Vida VXZ, the model that was showcased for the first time at the EICMA 2025 held in Milan. This motorcycle has been developed in collaboration with Zero Motorcycles.

The patented design features the Vida VXZ with a sporty, streetfighter-inspired look and a forward-slung weight. The motorcycle features a crouched riding position, a compact, upraised tail section with pointed tank extensions and a split-seat setup.

TVS Motor Company is also moving in this direction. The company has applied for a design patent for its first electric motorcycle in India, the eFX 30. This model was first showcased as a concept at EICMA 2025.
From the patent images, the TVS EFX 30 looks aggressive and performance-oriented, with a Street Fighter style design. It has a forward-slung stance, a massive front section and a sharp, minimalist tail. The concept shown internationally featured matte gray paint with yellow highlights.
