Under-19 World Cup: India proudly reached the semi-finals, crushed Pakistan badly

Thanks to the half-century innings of Vedant Trivedi (68) and the strong performance of the bowlers after the fighting innings of the lower order batsmen, India has made it to the final of the tournament by defeating Pakistan in the 36th match of the Under-19 World Cup. India, batting first, gave Pakistan a target of 253 runs to win.

Pakistan could reach the semi-finals of the tournament only by achieving this target in 33.3 overs. In which he failed. The Indian bowlers performed brilliantly and bowled out the entire Pakistan team for 194 in 46.2 overs, eliminating them from the tournament. Pakistan did not have a good start and lost the wicket of Sameer Minhas (nine). Khilan Patel gave India its first success by LBWing Minhas.

After this Usman Khan and Hamza Zahoor took over the innings and took it to the score of 88. In the 17th over, Ayush Mhatra dismissed Usman Khan (66) and sent him to the pavilion. After this, captain Farhan Yusuf took charge. Both the batsmen took the team’s score to 151. Pakistan could score only 168 runs for five wickets in 35.3 overs.

Pakistan team failed to win the match in 33.3 overs due to slow performance of Pakistani batsmen battling the Indian bowling attack. After this, Pakistan lost its five wickets by adding only 26 runs. Captain Farhan Yusuf was out after scoring 38 runs and Huzaifa Ehsan (14). Seven batsmen of Pakistan could not even reach double figures.

For India, Khilan Patel and Ayush Mhatre took three wickets each. Ambrish, Henil Patel, Kanishk Chauhan and Vihaan Malhotra dismissed one batsman each. Earlier today, Pakistan Under-19 team won the toss and decided to bowl first. The pair of Aaron George and Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who came to bat, added 47 runs for the first wicket. Mohammad Syam gave the first success to Pakistan by dismissing Vaibhav Suryavanshi in the eighth over.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi played an inning of 30 runs in 22 balls, hitting five fours and one six. Sayyam also dismissed captain Ayush Mhatre (0) in this over. Abdul Subhan put India in trouble by dismissing Aaron George (16) on the first ball of the very next over. After losing three wickets at the score of 47, the Indian team which was in trouble was handled by the pair of Vedant Trivedi and Vihaan Malhotra. Both the batsmen added 62 runs for the fourth wicket.

In the 24th over, Ahmed Hussain broke this partnership by dismissing Vihaan Malhotra (21). After this Abhigyan Kundu (16) was out after scoring 16 runs. In the 41st over, Momin Qamar gave the sixth blow to India by dismissing Vedant Trivedi. Vedant Trivedi scored 68 runs in 98 balls hitting two fours and a six. Ambrish was out after scoring 29 runs as the seventh wicket. A 50-run partnership for the eighth wicket between Kanishk Chauhan and Khilan Patel took India past 250.

Kanishk Chauhan scored 35 runs in 29 balls with the help of four fours and one six and Khilan Patel scored 21 runs in 15 balls with the help of two fours and one six. India lost three wickets in the last over and its innings was reduced to 252 runs. Abdul Subhan took three wickets for Pakistan. Mohammad Syam got two wickets. Ali Raza, Ahmed Hussain, Ali Hasan Baloch and Momin Qamar dismissed one batsman each.
