New Delhi: Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget 2026-2027 in Parliament on Sunday. The finance minister proposed to increase the Public capex to Rs 12.2 lakh crore as compared Rs 11.2 lakh crore in BE 2025-26.
The Budget 2026 focusses on enhancing country’s international trade and exports. The government said it is at building a competitive, resilient, and globally integrated economy. The Budgetary announcements are aimed at strengthening India’s position as a trusted global trading partner and accelerating progress towards the vision of Viksit Bharat.
The Budget measures are focussed on enhancing the services sector, manufacturing, Special Economic Zones (SEZs), infrastructure, ease of doing business, and sector-specific reforms.

Commenting on the Budget 2026 announcements, Dr Bharat Bhushan, Executive Director- Radius Synergies International, said that the Union Budget underscores the government’s commitment to strengthening India’s power and energy ecosystem through policy stability and long-term reforms. Continued focus on clean energy transition, grid modernisation, and regulatory clarity will be critical in accelerating investments across renewable and conventional power segments. Giving his views on the announcements related to real estate sector, Venket Rao, Founder- Intygrat Law and RERA Expert, said the Budget places strong emphasis on policy continuity, ease of doing business, and regulatory clarity, which is encouraging for the real estate sector.
“Streamlined approvals, stable taxation, and a predictable policy framework will help improve investor confidence and enable long-term planning for developers. This policy-driven approach, combined with sustained infrastructure push, sets the right foundation for sustainable and organised growth across residential and commercial real estate,” he said.
