Disgraced Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has left Royal Lodge under the cover of darkness.
The former Duke of York is understood to have been kicked out earlier than planned as his brother King Charles has become increasingly concerned about the barrage of new Epstein revelations - which Andrew denies.
It was previously thought that he was going to forced out of the 30-room mansion before his 66th birthday later this month.
Andrew is reported to have been driven 132 miles to Sandringham in darkness yesterday evening to avoid being seen. He also spent yesterday at Wood Farm Cottage where he will stay temporarily.
Andrew is set to move permanently into Marsh Farm at the start of April.
According to The Sun, a friend said: "He had planned to cling on at Royal Lodge a little longer but with the latest batch of Epstein files it was made clear to him that it was time to go. Leaving was so humiliating for him that he chose to do it under the cover of darkness.
"He didn't want to have a big emotional goodbye even though Royal Lodge is a place where he had so many family memories.
The King's younger brother, who will celebrate his birthday on February 19, appeared in the newly released Epstein files last Friday.
Andrew told convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein that he wanted to be his "pet" in an email among the 3million documents released as part of the Epstein files.
He made the uneasy remark in a note to the disgraced financier in August 2010, which appears to show him discussing an unspecified business deal in London.
The former prince has vehemently denied any wrongdoing over the Epstein scandal.
