Islamabad. Pakistan is grappling with internal instability. The Pakistani army is carrying out military operations against the separatist organization Balochistan Liberation Army in Balochistan province. Pakistan has named its operation ‘Operation Herof Phase 2’. Baloch insurgents carried out simultaneous attacks in several towns of the restive province. In which at least 80 security personnel were killed and more than 30 government properties were destroyed.
Meanwhile, Pakistan claims that at least 177 Baloch insurgents were killed in the army action. However, Hakim Baloch, a prominent leader of the Baloch national movement, has rejected Islamabad’s claim. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s helplessness has now been exposed to the world, as acknowledged by Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif himself.
In Balochistan, the Pakistani army appears weak and helpless in the face of the Baloch Liberation Army. The army has surrendered to the Baloch fighters, a significant admission made by Pakistan’s Defense Minister, Khawaja Asif. Khawaja Asif lamented his helplessness in the National Assembly and admitted that the Pakistani army is incapable of confronting the Baloch fighters.
