Congress leader Rahil Sharif was allegedly assaulted by a group of young men for allegedly visiting a married woman’s house at night in Chikkamagaluru in Karnataka. The youth, who were woman’s neighbour, allegedly barged into her house and started thrashing the Congress leader. They asked Sharif what he was doing at a “Hindu woman’s house at night”.

A video of the incident has gone viral. A complaint has been filed at the Chikkamagaluru city police station. The woman claimed that Rahil is her friend and that he had come to her house to give her medicine as she was not feeling well “At that time, some people tried to attack me,” the woman said.
