Airtel Q3 Result: The country’s leading telecom company Bharti Airtel released the results for the third quarter of FY 26 on Thursday. In the October-December period, the company’s profit declined by 55 percent year-on-year to Rs 6,630.5 crore, which was Rs 14,781.2 crore in the same period a year ago.

The reason for the decline in the company’s profits is the high base last year. Airtel had a bumper profit of Rs 7,545.6 crore in the December quarter of FY24. Apart from this, one of the reasons for the decline in the company’s profit is the additional expenditure of Rs 256.8 crore due to the new labor code.

Profit decreased by 2.3% on quarterly basis

The company’s profit has declined by 2.3 percent on a quarterly basis. The company’s profit in the September quarter of FY26 was Rs 6,791.7 crore. The company’s total income in the December quarter of FY26 stood at Rs 54,683.9 crore. This is an increase of 19.92 percent compared to the income of Rs 45,599 crore for the same period of the last financial year.

Company’s total expenses in December quarter

The company’s total expenses in the December quarter of the current financial year stood at Rs 23,198.8 crore, which was Rs 20,532.7 crore in the December quarter of FY25. This shows an increase of 12.98 percent in expenditure on an annual basis. Bharti Airtel said that the company’s average revenue per user has reached Rs 259 in the December quarter, which was Rs 256 in September and Rs 245 in December 2024.

Total data usage in December quarter?

In the December quarter of FY26, 26,056 million GB of data was used on the company’s network. This is an increase of 6.6 percent as compared to 24,446 million GB data of September quarter and 29.2 percent as compared to 20,174 million GB data of last year’s December quarter.

Decline in number of employees

Data consumption per user stood at 29.8 GB per month in the December quarter. This is 5 percent higher than 28.3 GB per month in the September quarter and 21.5 percent higher than 24.5 GB per month in the December quarter last year. Airtel has seen a decline in its employee base both quarterly and annually.

In December quarter of FY26 Bharti Airtel 24,186 employees were employed in it. This figure is 205 less than the September quarter of the current financial year and 340 less than the December quarter of FY25.
