Nurpur Police Conducts Monthly Crime Review Meeting

The Nurpur Police District held its monthly crime review meeting today, led by Superintendent of Police (SP) Kulbhushan Verma. The session saw participation from all Station Officers (SOs), Station House Officers (SHOs), and police post in-charges throughout the district.


Discussion Points

During the meeting, attendees engaged in comprehensive discussions regarding the current law and order situation, reviews of pending cases, the quality of investigations, and various crime control measures. SP Verma emphasized the importance of prompt and effective case resolutions, maintaining high professional standards, and prioritizing public safety.


January Highlights

115 cases were registered, with 48 cases resolved.


11 cases were filed under the NDPS Act, resulting in the seizure of:



  • 132.21 grams of heroin

  • 472 grams of poppy husk

  • 1.458 kilograms of charas


03 arrests were made in 08 theft/burglary cases.


A stolen vehicle was recovered within 24 hours in a vehicle theft incident.


Additionally, police apprehended 04 proclaimed offenders and located 15 missing individuals.


Focus Areas for Improvement

Officers were encouraged to enhance their efforts in areas such as drug eradication, traffic management, crime prevention, and fostering public cooperation.


Recognition of Achievements

In recognition of their exemplary performance, SHO Nurpur, SHO Indora, and SHO Jawali received commendation certificates.
