Green coriander proves to be very effective in enhancing the taste of any vegetable and pulses. But it is often seen that we bring it in large quantities from the market and then fresh green coriander starts rotting within two or three days. The leaves turn black and smell bad, due to which the entire coriander has to be thrown away. But now a very easy and cheap solution to this problem has emerged. This kitchen hack is effective in keeping coriander fresh for a long time with the help of paper. Let us know how.
How to keep coriander fresh for a long time with paper
Newspaper, tissue paper or kitchen towel, airtight container or ziplock bag.
Step-by-step method
Do not rush to wash coriander. If you do not want to use it immediately, keep it without washing it. Moisture is the biggest reason for rotting.
Remove bad leaves. Remove yellow, black or rotten leaves beforehand, otherwise they will spoil the rest of the coriander.
Wrap the coriander lightly in newspaper or tissue paper. The paper absorbs extra moisture, due to which the leaves do not turn black.
Keep it in a container. Now keep this wrapped coriander in an airtight container or ziplock bag and keep it in the vegetable section of the refrigerator. Change the paper every 3–4 days. If the paper seems wet, replace it with new dry paper.
How much will it last?
In this way coriander remains green, aromatic and usable for 10-12 days.
