The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Guwahati office has issued a notification for the recruitment of pharmacists. This recruitment will be on a contractual and part-time basis. A total of two pharmacists will be appointed. This is a special opportunity for candidates who have experience in the field of pharmacy and wish to work with a prestigious institution like the bank.

According to the information released by the RBI, the selected pharmacists will be posted at two different locations in Guwahati. The first location is the RBI Main Office Complex, Station Road, Panbazar, Guwahati - 781001. The second location is the RBI Officers Colony, GS Road, Christian Basti, Guwahati - 781005. Candidates will have to provide their services at these locations.

Who can apply?

Certain essential qualifications have been set for the RBI Pharmacist Recruitment 2026. The candidate must have passed Matriculation (10th class). A Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) from a recognized institution is mandatory. Candidates holding a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree can also apply.

Experience Requirements

Experience is given special importance in this recruitment. The candidate must have at least two years of experience as a pharmacist. Candidates who have worked in a public sector bank, government undertaking, or any government institution will be given preference. The candidate should also have basic computer knowledge to perform daily tasks easily.

Required Documents

Candidates must attach certain essential documents while applying. These include proof of age, 10th standard certificate, certificates of pharmacy-related educational qualifications, State Pharmacy Council registration certificate, and experience certificate.

If the candidate belongs to a reserved category, a caste certificate must also be submitted. A recent passport-size photograph must also be included with the application. Only self-attested photocopies of all documents will be accepted.

Salary

Candidates selected under the RBI Pharmacist Recruitment 2026 will be paid a remuneration of ₹400 per hour. The working hours are fixed at a maximum of 5 hours per day. The total working hours per week will not exceed 30.

This appointment will be for a maximum contractual period of 240 days. It is important to note that this appointment is purely temporary and does not confer any right to permanent employment at the RBI.
