Police have arrested a 60-year-old man after the body of a woman was found at a property in Welsh seaside town.
It is understood that the body of the woman, who was in her 80s, was found in a freezer after police responded to a welfare call concerning the woman on Tuesday, February 17.
"South Wales Police attended an address on Poplar Crescent, Porthcawl at 1:45pm on Tuesday, February 17 after a call concerning the welfare of a woman," a spokesperson for the force said.

"Christopher Phillips, 60, from Porthcawl has been charged with preventing a lawful burial."
The South Wales Police spokesperson added that investigations into the death are on-going.
