A tremendous boom in the stock market

Reasons Behind the Stock Market Rise: The Indian stock market witnessed a strong rally on Monday, February 23rd. According to data, the Sensex jumped more than 600 points in early trading. Meanwhile, the Nifty 50 surpassed the 25,750 level. Investors have been buying during the trading day. Let's explore the reasons behind this surge...

1. The market received support after news from the US

Significant global news has bolstered domestic market sentiment. The Supreme Court has decided to repeal import tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump. Following this, the US market, as well as Europe, experienced a surge. Experts believe this move sends a positive signal to sectors linked to international demand and supply chains.

Although Trump later announced an increase in tariffs from 10 percent to 15 percent, investors' confidence in the domestic market remains intact. This sentiment reflected the market, with shares of textile and export-related companies rising by 2 to 8 percent.

2. The impact of the boom in the global market

The Indian domestic market has been supported by gains in global markets. The Asian market's Kospi rose 1.5 percent. The US market also gained about 1 percent on Friday. However, trading is closed today due to holidays in China and Japan.

3. Fall in crude oil prices

Crude oil prices eased at the start of the week. The prospect of nuclear talks between the US and Iran reaching a third round has signaled a thaw in geopolitical tensions, raising hopes of reducing global uncertainty.

Meanwhile, Brent crude futures fell 75 cents, or 1.05 percent, to $71.01 per barrel. Experts say this weakening crude oil price is considered a relief for major importing countries like India. Lower crude oil prices are expected to ease inflationary pressures.
