New Delhi: Actress and influencer Sandeepa Virk recently revealed the most difficult phase of her life. In August 2025, the Enforcement Directorate took action against her in a money laundering case and arrested her. There were allegations of around Rs 6 crore in this case and Sandeepa had to stay in Tihar Jail for more than four months.
Sandeepa told that every day of jail was very difficult for her. Crying, she said, “There I used to ask for death for myself. I felt that I did not deserve it. This was the first time I went to the washroom, so I cannot imagine what such a dirty environment is like.” Both mental and physical torture in jail left her so troubled that she was not even able to stand without support.
Referring to her parents and siblings, Sandeepa said that she felt bad the most when they came. “I used to pray that death would come and take me with it. The worst feeling is when your parents come to meet you in jail.” He also said that some female prison officers were kind, but took out their anger on many prisoners.
The days spent in jail also affected his career and personal relationships. Sandeepa told that many relationships changed in her industry, some people unfollowed her. “Earlier too, some big producers used to say – I can make you this or that. I used to reply, the one who made you will make me too.”
Sandeepa also clarified that she was innocent and the matter was to activities beyond her control. The court granted his bail on 27 December 2025. The main accused in this case, Amit Gupta, is still absconding.
According to PTI report, the complainant was promised a lead role in a film and was asked to invest around Rs 6 crore. This amount was sent through his account and the matter was to transactions from 2008 to 2013.
